   1.       Increase Membership.

   2.       Increase our supplemental funding by fund-raising events, applying for grants,and individual and corporate donations.

   3.       Advocate for increased annual funding for Fire Island National Seashore, keepingin mind that the maintenance of visitor facilities like bathrooms, boardwalks, docks and trails are very important for visitor satisfaction and enjoyment.

   4.       Advocate that the use of beaches and trails on Fire Island remain free from user fees.

   5.       Work with the National Park Service to insure that the navigation channels to Watch Hill, Sailors Haven and Barrett Beach remain open.

   6.       Raise the voice of visitors, boaters, fishermen and surfers to The National Park Service to insure that their needs are considered in Park management decisions while protecting wild life and not restricting the use of appropriate forms of recreation.

7.      Insure that Old Inlet remains open for public use with acceptable facilities.

8.     Assist in improving a cooperative relationship between the National Park Service, Fire Island residents, park visitors and adjacent communities
